Mr. Dutton's Music Room

Hello Highland Park Elementary!
My name is Noah Dutton. I am the new music teacher at Highland Park and look forward to exposing your students to new music and experiences every day! I am from Loudon, TN and have spent the majority of my life surrounded by music. From second grade through the end of high school I sang with a show choir in Oak Ridge called Sound Company. At that same time, in seventh grade I started singing with the Sound of Tennessee barbershop chorus in Cleveland, TN and have been ever since.
In my spare time outside of my position here at HPE and my involvement with Sound of Tennessee, I am also a part-time church pianist and assistant director of music at Loudon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Here I am able to play for services on Sunday morning and am involved in all music activities within the church.
I graduated with my Bachelor's in Music Education from Tennessee Wesleyan University in December, 2020. After a temporary semester at Steekee Elementary School I was offered the position here in Fall, 2021, and am extremely honored to be a part of the HPE family!
Christmas is BACK!!
Dear Parents,
This year's Christmas Programs will be held at First Baptist Church Lenoir City on December 13th! We have created a format that I think will be comfortable for all our HPE community. Pre-K through 1st grade will be performing songs about the reindeer of Christmas. This program will start at 6pm and run until approximately 6:30.
2nd - 4th grade will be performing fun Christmas classics this year and this program will start at 7pm and run until approximately 7:30pm.
Below you will find recordings of all the songs and lyrics so that you can work with your students at home on these fun programs. Please look below to find the songs that each grade is responsible for.
