School Counseling

My name is Whitney Renninger. I am the school counselor here at HPES. I graduated from the University of Tennessee with my bachelor's degree in counseling in 2008. I graduated from Carson Newman College with my master's degree in 2010. I worked as a therapist for a few years then received my license in school counseling in 2013. I have worked in several counties including Knox and Blount. I have worked as a school counselor, therapist, and behavior interventionist.

As the school counselor, my role is to be an advocate for students and help them achieve their goals. My goal is to help students to be able to regulate their emotions and help with their mental, academic, and social needs. I work with students individually, in groups, and in classes during specials. I can also refer students to outpatient counseling or to our social worker. I am also in charge of S-teams.

I look forward to working with HPES staff, students, and parents. If I can be any assistance to you, please contact 865-986-2241 ext. 3004. My email is [email protected]
