The School Based Dental Prevention Program (SBDPP) has started at our school this week. They will only be here for a limited time based on forms turned in so turn your forms in as soon as possible. This is a free program offered to PreK-4th grade at our school for an exam and preventive sealants. Health education assemblies will take place on Monday for all students. Need a copy of the form? Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of April 1st.
1. Kindergarten Round-up will be April 5th. Prek and kindergarten will not have school that day. If you are registering a student for kindergarten or applying for prek you can find more information on our website: https://ees.loudoncounty.org/o/ees/page/new-student-information
2. We have our next PTO and Family Engagement on Friday, April 12. We hope you will bring your bikes or scooters out for a “Bike Rodeo” event from 5:30-7:00 on the track behind the school. Flyers will come home this week! We SnoBiz, Meatheads food truck, a local bike shop, Priority Ambulance, and Loudon County Sheriff’s office in attendance. We hope you will make plans to attend our first ever Bike Rodeo.
3. Our District announced that we will be closing ½ day on April 8th. Dismissal will start at 11:00 so everyone can be home to safely watch the eclipse that afternoon.
4. Math Family Fluency Activities are now available from the state department for families of students in Pre-K-2. Each collection of resources is aligned to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and contains text-based related math activities, extension activities, and caretaker supports. For each grade level, there is a video explaining the standard-specific math activities, a printable version of the math activities, and video resource of the text being read aloud. 5. Lastly, the Rocketeer went home last week. It is posted on our website and on our Monday Minute email if it didn’t make it home. In honor of March Madness our staff had a week long battle of rock, paper, scissors. Congratulations to 1st place Mrs. Slingerland, 2nd place Mrs. Lane, and 3rd place Mrs. Choate.




Our maintenance department was working on a heating unit that produced a smoke smell throughout the building so in an abundance of caution we evacuated. The fire department came and has cleared the building. All students have returned to the normal schedule. Thank you for your patience during arrival this morning.

Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of March 25th.
1. No LAUNCH tomorrow due to staff training after school.
2. Easter Break will be March 29 - April 1st, so we will not have school.

4. Update: We have changed the focus of our next PTO and Family Engagement event due to lack of interest. It will now be a “Bike Rodeo” event from 5:30-7:00 on the track behind the school. We will be sending home more information soon, but we will have a food truck, Loudon County Sheriff’s office, and a local bike shop in attendance. Stay tuned!
5. Lastly, we have included the update "Tennessee Pathways to Promotion for 3rd and 4th graders." The graphic was updated on 3/12/24. We sent this home with report cards last week for students who may be impacted by the state retention law.
